Narrated by Narrated Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما :
ہم سے عمر بن حفص نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے میرے والد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اعمش نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو بن مرہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ أَبُو لَهَبٍ تَبًّا لَكَ أَلِهَذَا جَمَعْتَنَا فَنَزَلَتْ {تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ}.
Urdu Translation
ابولہب نے کہا تھا کہ تو تباہ ہو۔ کیا تو نے ہمیں اسی لیے جمع کیا تھا؟ اس پر یہ آیت تبت يدا أبي لهب نازل ہوئی۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
Abu Lahab said, "May you perish! Is it' for this that you have gathered us?" So there was revealed:'Perish the hands of Abu Lahab'.
