Narrated by It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, that his grandfather said:
ہمیں اسماعیل بن مسعود نے خبر دی، کہا: ہم سے خالد نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے حسین المعلم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے عمرو بن شعیب سے، ان سے ان کے والد نے، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے بیان کیا۔ ہمیں حمید بن مسعدہ نے خبر دی، کہا: ہم سے یزید بن زرعی نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے حسین المعلم نے، انہوں نے عمرو بن شعیب سے، وہ اپنے والد سے، وہ اپنے دادا سے، انہوں نے کہا کہ

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو. ح وأَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ قَامَ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ: لَا يَجُوزُ لِامْرَأَةٍ عَطِيَّةٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا .
Urdu Translation
جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مکہ فتح کیا تو آپ خطبہ دینے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے اور اپنے خطبہ میں آپ نے فرمایا :کسی عورت کے لیے اپنے شوہر کی اجازت کے بغیر کسی کو عطیہ دینا جائز و درست نہیں۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Makkah, he stood up to address (the people) and said in his Khutbah: 'It is not permissible for a woman to give (a gift) except with her husband's permission.'
