أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاق، سَمِعَ أَبَا حَبِيبَةَ الطَّائِيَّ، قَالَ: أَوْصَى رَجُلٌ بِدَنَانِيرَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، فَسُئِلَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ فَحَدَّثَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعْتِقُ، أَوْ يَتَصَدَّقُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُهْدِي بَعْدَمَا يَشْبَعُ .
Urdu Translation
ایک شخص نے کچھ دینار اللہ کی راہ میں دینے کی وصیت کی۔ تو ابو الدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ سے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی یہ حدیث بیان کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا :جو شخص اپنی موت کے وقت غلام آزاد کرتا ہے یا صدقہ و خیرات دیتا ہے اس کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے کوئی شخص پیٹ بھر کھا لینے کے بعد ( بچا ہوا ) کسی کو ہدیہ دیدے ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
A man made a will leaving some Dinars (to be spent) in the cause of Allah. Abu Ad-Darda' رضی اللہ عنہ was asked about that, and he narrated that the Prophet said: 'The likeness of the one who frees a slave or gives some charity when he is dying, is that of a man who gives a gift after he has eaten his fill.'
