Ayah 51:1
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ ذَرْوًا١
By the [winds] scattering [dust], dispersing [it]
Ayah 51:2
فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ وِقْرًا٢
And the [clouds] carrying a load [of water]
Ayah 51:3
فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ يُسْرًا٣
And the ships sailing with ease
Ayah 51:4
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ أَمْرًا٤
And the [angels] apportioning [each] matter,
Ayah 51:5
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ٥
Indeed, what you are promised is true.
Ayah 51:6
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ٦
And indeed, the recompense is to occur.
Ayah 51:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ٧
By the heaven containing pathways,1
Ayah 51:8
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ٨
Indeed, you are in differing speech.1
Ayah 51:9
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ٩
Deluded away from it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is he who is deluded.
Ayah 51:10
قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ١٠
Destroyed are the misinformers1
Ayah 51:11
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ١١
Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.
Ayah 51:12
يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ١٢
They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"
Ayah 51:13
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ١٣
[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire.
Ayah 51:14
ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ١٤
[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."
Ayah 51:15
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ١٥
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,
Ayah 51:16
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ١٦
Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.
Ayah 51:17
كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ١٧
They used to sleep but little of the night,1
Ayah 51:18
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ١٨
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,
Ayah 51:19
وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ١٩
And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.
Ayah 51:20
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ٢٠
And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]
